WILDER WEDNESDAYS

We have had a little bit of interest in the idea of a weekly gardening club where people sign up to volunteer one morning a week to work on the plot with us. This is now up and running on a Wednesday morning from 9:30 - 12:00 (with a break for coffee and cake, obviously!) working on whatever needs doing on that day. Tasks include weeding, planting out, mulching, bulb planting and dead-heading with a backdrop of Radio 4, the hum of the mower and plenty of chat and laughter.

The chap in the pic is Helen's dad, David who has been working on the plot the last couple of years. In fact it was David who suggested that he might not be the only one who'd find this a worthwhile Wednesday workout! It got us thinking that a weekly voluntary club might be a mutually beneficial exercise and the beginnings of our very own little Wilder community.
